The Language of Leading

I wish someone had taught me the power of a few simple words before I got married, had children, and became a leader of people. It was there. I just missed it for a long time.

Now I help others with their self talk, parenting talk, and leadership talk. Some words are more powerful than others.

Body language can be louder than spoken words. Communication is not something we master in a day. It is something we learn over a lifetime. And what we know for sure is that Mastery happens an inch at a time through intentional redundancy.

This week conduct an experiment. Replace 'but' with 'and', and 'if' with 'when', and 'try' with 'will'. See what happens. Next, we'll focus on self talk. Get that part right and the rest gets exponentially easier.
