Don't focus on the rut. Acknowledge it and move toward a solution.

What we focus on expands. We know that for a fact. So why do so many people habitually stare at their problems or challenges until they grow into something perceived to be twice the size of what they were when we discovered them? Staring a problem is like watering a weed in your garden. Do that long enough and those will be the only plants you have.
Acknowledge issues and look at them just long enough to understand how to resolve them or at least define what you are going to try next. Teach your team to be solution oriented. Teach them how to think, not what to think. Listen to them when they bring ideas forward. Ask good questions to get good answers. Be a curious leader and stimulate innovation.
Don't let the rut get bigger than it needs to be. It's just something we can't fix right now, so let's figure out how to drive around it, . . . really fast.
Have a JustRight week!
